As a commentator on the mechanics and opportunities of Modern Money Theory, I'm somewhat confused by your explanations of how the Chinese gov. is paying for it all. I'm sure your reporting is correct, but I'm puzzled: Why would the gov. borrow dollars from the World Bank, or Euros from a German bank to pay for something being constructed in China? And if they're somehow borrowing Yuan/RMB from those organizations, why would they be borrowing a fiat currency that the government itself issues?
